Default Insignia in Chapters 1 and 2: they've come

last patch just did this:
* Players can now obtain armor insignias from all campaigns. Profession-restricted insignias will only drop in campaigns in which characters of that profession can be created.
* Crafted armor in Prophecies and Factions now supports insignias. The insignia bonuses replace the previous inherent armor bonuses and require several additional changes:
o From this point onward, armor pieces newly crafted in these campaigns will not have inherent bonuses. The crafting costs of these armor pieces have been reduced accordingly.
o All existing level 20 armor from these campaigns now have insignias in place of their inherent bonuses. Please note that the bonuses on these armor sets have not been altered. The only change is that these bonuses now come from insignias.
o All existing lower-level armor pieces from these campaigns now support insignias but have had their inherent bonuses removed.
o Numerous armor sets have been renamed to avoid redundancy with insignia names.
* Lower-level collector armor pieces from Prophecies and Factions now support insignias. Level 20 collector armor does not.

PLAIN AWESOME.

I am bothered by the "Lower-level collector armor pieces from Prophecies and Factions now support insignias. Level 20 collector armor does not."

I mean, this is great, but if you are going to apply insignas to lower-level collector pieces, why not max? I'd rather have it be both or neither.

Wow...awesome...I was 50 gold away from getting my ranger's best chest piece and now I have to pay 1.8 platinum more. Thanks, Anet!

Um, level 20 armor deffinently uses insignias. What I got from it is that level 20 armor wasn't stripped of its current one.

That is what I hated about this update.

Well, I haven't played the game long enough to complain about it, but it angers me that I have to pay a lot more money for something I've been saving for.

Also, won't this make lower level characters a lot weaker? There are a lot of bonuses (i.e. Druid's) which are very expensive for newer players.

Oh, and it looks like collectors armors have been rendered completely useless. All those hours spent of collecting trophies for nothing.

They should have also offered the Factions Style of Armor Buying... As it is now, that style of armor buying is far superior to the insignias... But if they were to flat rate Insignias like they should have from the beginning, then it'd be a different story.

Though one way around that would be actually giving the causal players a way to actually get money again... Maybe give them better quest rewards... 1k per quest sounds fair to start with.

ssooooo many thanks to anet!

This update is awesome. All those once-useless yet good looking tyrian armor sets are great now. I didn't think they'd do it, but they did and it's very awesome. Time to get some new armor but now there's so much to choose from.....we have a huge variety of armor sets now.

Very good job on that, anet.

I like the insignias, but the old system was nice too. IMO factions got it right.

My FOW got re-rigged!!! I'm so happy! Bonelace was FTL.

My AL30 Scars set from L.A. has lost its inscription completely!! Scars = Radiant.

It's not a huge deal, but it's a bug.

I would highly check and double check all your armours as mine as been glitched .My 15K Glad is no longer Radiant with Knight helmet I get a base energy of 22 not 27 like before as well as my Ranger having 15K Druids with Amnoon Oasis Boots now has 31 energy. Then there are my Monks tats which aren't radiant and the energy does not increase when I change into them. Then there is a another Warrior with Sing Jea Gladiators with only 20 energy.

No its not a bug, ANet specifically stated that all < lvl 20 armors will loose their insignias (not inscriptions). AL30 is < lvl 20 armor.

Finally! Gladiator's armor with Ascalon boots+arms!

I might actually get on the game for this, in spite of my recent boycott.

That's really weird! Not sure what is going on with you... my 15k Gladiator's gives me full energy.

I'm at 27.

One of my scalp pieces of original Prophecies origin that had inherent +1 energy attributed came in with no insignia on it, whatsoever. The other four had radiant on them as they should have. Not that I care all that much, since radiant for me has fallen out of favor so I am actually indifferent about that loss and happy I can place something else on it. Still, its a glitch piece I found, so I suppose the transition wasnt perfect.

I love this part of the update nonetheless. ^^
